About Coastal Ships
Ship Overview Ship Overview

To travel on a Hurtigruten ship is to be a part of a long tradition of connecting Norway's coastal towns and villages. Our ships are working vessels, carrying goods, vehicles and passengers, night and day. This service has been integral to Norwegian Life since our first voyage in 1893. Today our ships are as much a feature of the Norwegian landscape as the fjords and waters they navigate.

Each of our 12 ships that sail along the Norwegian coast vary in size and age. Each one has its own style and unique offerings. Despite their differences, they provide the same intimate travel experience and informal Hurtigruten atmosphere.
