Here is some information on booking on the internet:

1) Make sure to call the airline to confirm they did receive you reservation and that it was ticketed.  Sometimes when you click submit it does not reach the airlines (if computer is down or had any kind of problems)

2) Check with the airlines to see if you have any schedule changes. Schedule changes are done by computers and are not always what you want. Sometimes they have you leaving your connecting airport before you arrive.

3)If you arrive at the airport with any problems or questions, the airport employees cannot help you. Unless you've booked the ticket either directly through the airline or through a travel agency,  the people at the airlines can't access your ticket. They don't know where you got it, how much you paid for it, or even if it is authentic. They only see that you have a reservation.

When booking a trip online, you have to pay in full.  While we have 24 hours to hold your ticket while you firm up dates. Also you can't see how many seats are avalible at the price you want. We can check to see if  another flight has more sale seats and  guide you to the best price. Online tickets cannot be changed in any way whatsoever once booked. (A few sites allow you to change your tickets, but you pay a $100 fee.) If you call within 24hrs we can cancel your ticket, after that there is a $50 or $100 fee to change your ticket.

At the end of the day, is it really worth all of the uncertainty you'll experience just to save a few dollars? We don't think it is. Most of the time, we can match or even beat the prices you find on the internet and it only takes us a few minutes. Do yourself a favor and book with a travel agency. You'll find that it will be worth it in the end because you will ensure yourself a great experience and a great trip!! You will be working with people you know and care about you. They have the experience and knowledge.
